FROM CUSCO TO THE COAST

CUSCO-NAZCA: A FULL DAY JOURNEY


This full day trip crosses the Andes and reaches the desert of the Peruvian coastline. During the transfer you will have the unique opportunity to see glaciers and the large Andean prairies. This journey is a true odyssey that shows you the diverse geographical landscapes of Peru.


Itinerary of the journey


We leave Cusco early in the morning to go in search of the Pampa de Anta where our deep descent begins to the Apurimac River, one of the tributaries of the Amazon. After passing the river, the road reaches 4000 masl where we can appreciate the first views of Abancay city and the spectacular views of the snowy peak of the Salkantay Mountain (6271 masl). After leaving Abancay city behind we enter the valley formed by the Pachachaca river, a tributary of the Apurimac river. Then we follow the course of the river uphill and reach the Pampa Galera national reserve at 4540 masl. This impressive geographical area is the natural environment for llamas and vicunas. After passing through the village of Puquio we keep enjoying the Andean landscape for a while and then start our descent to the desert areas along the coastline. We experience a drastic climactic change as we get closer to the oasis of Nazca, our final destination.

06:00 am: Our SUV car will pick you up from your hotel and we will leave Cusco – Approximately 10:30 am: arrival to Abancay – 05:00/06:00 pm arrival to Nazca.


What is included?


  • Transportation

    • - The whole transportation in a SUV car as explained above. Under the definition of "transportation" we mean the SUV car, the necessary petrol for the the whole trip and the driver. The road tolls are also included NOTE: In case of unexpected issues (strikes, road closures etc.) we will find an alternative solution/route to take you to your destination.


What is not included?


  • Meals and drinks

    • Lunch, dinner and drinks are not included. NOTE: The Company arranges and prepays the meals for the driver.


  • Hotels

    • The hotel in Nazca is not included.


  • Additional note

    • Any other extra cost is covered by the client.
