PUNO & LAGO TITICACA
Welcome to the city of Puno located at the magnificent Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. Here we find the Andean high plateau at an altitude of 3815 masl. This lake was a very important center from where many cultures spread out much before the Spanish colonial times. The archeological. remains, such as the beautiful funerary towers known as Chullpas, are set before the stunning landscape of the lake and the high plateau.
Once here you should not miss the floating islands of Uros where an ancient group of people still live and the island of Taquile with its magnificent viewpoint over the blue waters of the lake.
